O Ministério das
Comunicações vai apresentar neste mês ao presidente Lula e à Casa
Civil um projeto de inclusão digital que prevê levar infra-estrutura
de WiMax para 3 mil municípios em 2007.
A idéia surgiu de conversas do ministro com duas empresas, em sua
recente viagem aos Estados Unidos, que se mostraram interessadas em
implantar a o projeto.
Segundo Hélio Costa, as empresas fariam investimentos de US$ 1 bilhão
e receberiam uma concessão de 20 anos para explorar o serviço.
A divisão da receita se daria pela participação dessas empresas no
valor da conexão (ele exemplificou com o montante de R$ 0,01
ressaltando que dependeria de negociação). Costa disse ainda está
prevista uma licitação para o projeto, mas esse processo só seria
iniciado após as eleições.
O ministro esteve em São Paulo ontem, para visitar o Congresso e Feira
